Usually you will want to use the story decks as given because they provide a bit of a challenge but then you start playing as other characters and have no control over what is in your deck. You can easily make a deck that will beat out most of the 'story' missions from your first time picking it up. Maybe it's just my own expectations but what Legacy of the Duelist lacks most is any sort of sense of progression. You can duel against characters through pre-set story decks as you kind of live through the anime series or you can make your own deck. It does away with the world exploring and NPCs and all the other stuff and just gives you duels after duels after duels. Legacy of the Duelist probably provides the most straight forward presentation for Yu-Gi-Oh gameplay over the last couple of years. Legacy of the Duelist To pre-face this review: yes, this game is worth the ~20 USD paid for it or however cheap you get it on sale from Steam. Yu-gi-oh Legacy of the duelist is by far the best (offcial) yugioh game iv played its perfect for beginners and people who played it as a kid Yu-gi-oh Legacy of the duelist is by far the best (offcial) yugioh game iv played its perfect for beginners and people who played it as a kid and want to learn how the new mechanics work.
